The entrance bears a worn-out single door reminiscent of shabby old London, and the check-in area is cramped with a reception that feels more like a hole in the wall. A steep staircase greets you as soon as you walk in, which can be quite challenging, especially when hauling heavy luggage or for anyone with mobility issues. Guests encounter persistent odors in the rooms, presenting an overall disappointing decor experience with a rundown vibe.

I visited for a quick family getaway and was surprised by the charming view from our room. It had large windows that opened wide, allowing a lovely breeze to flow through. The room was clean and even though it was basic, it had a romantic feel to it, which made our stay special. We really enjoyed the breakfast as well, especially the coffee-definitely a great way to start the day exploring the nearby Cathedral of Bern and the Bear Pit, both just a short walk away.

This place suits me perfectly! I love the free wi-fi, the cozy bar lounge, and that pets are allowed. When I had some technical issues on my first stay, the staff helped me right away. They are friendly and cute. I recommend trying the colorful eggs at breakfast! I'm coming back for a business trip.

Couldn't recommend more for a weekend trip

Spacious room, cozy bed, the comfortable pillows and Bettdecke made it easy to relax after a day of exploring, and the complimentary wi-fi was a great bonus for staying connected.
